JC 200 — Auxiliary Joint Committee for Employees

JC 200 social audit — work rules, individual account, social balance sheet.

Belgium's largest joint committee for white-collar employees. Group S audits your 22 mandatory documents in 15 minutes.

JC 200 — the tertiary sector essential

If you employ administrative, commercial or support staff and your activity does not fall under a specific sectoral JC, you fall under JC 200. It is the default regime for Belgian tertiary SMEs. SIRS/SIOD inspections target the work rules, the individual account and — for structures above thresholds — the social balance sheet.

5 key obligations

  1. Up-to-date & filed work rules

From the 1st employee. Must reflect schedules, payment method, disciplinary sanctions, complaints procedure. Filing with the Social Laws Control mandatory.

  2. Individual account per worker

Updated monthly, kept 5 years after departure. Document systematically requested in inspections.

  3. Part-time contract + posted schedule

Written contract mandatory for any part-time work. Variable schedule = posting 5 working days in advance.

  4. Retention of social documents (5 years)

Individual account, pay slip and registers kept five years after the worker leaves, on a medium that can be consulted during an inspection.

  5. Social balance sheet annexed to annual accounts

Mandatory if you publish annual accounts (>1 average FTE). NBB filing simultaneously with the accounts.

Maximum SCC penalties

Typical JC 200 shortcomings: level 2 to 3 (admin — – — or criminal — – —). Multiplication per affected worker is frequent.
